A free boxing manager game. You are neither the boxer nor the promoter: you are the man who picks the fights. Promoters and television send the offers, the sanctioning bodies own the belts, rival managers want your best client, and you take a quarter of every purse.
Boxing Manager starts with one client and an office that costs money every month. Each month a promoter or a network puts offers on your desk for every fighter you manage: a stay-busy eight-rounder on a regional show, a step-up on television against a ranked man, an eliminator, a mandatory, a world title shot. You read the opponent, the purse, the rounds and the risk, and you take the fight, counter for more money and risk the offer being pulled, or pass and put the fighter in camp instead. Fights are decided by the site's engine, the same one behind the simulator, so a bad matchup is a bad matchup whatever the cheque says.
Every result moves the live rankings in seventeen men's and five women's divisions, and the belts follow the rankings the way they do in the real sport: reach the top three and the title shot comes, hold a belt and the mandatory is ordered, ignore the mandatory and the belt is stripped. Between fights you run the camp, rest a man who took too much, renew contracts, sign new clients as your reputation allows, and deal with what lands on the desk: an injury in sparring, a fighter who missed weight, a network that wants an exclusive, a rival manager whispering in your champion's ear.
