1. What you are using
The Boxing Sim (theboxingsim.com) is a free website of boxing simulations and games, run as an independent fan project. It is provided for entertainment and for talking about the sport. These terms cover the whole site: the simulator, the career and manager games, the reference pages and the blog. Our privacy notice and disclaimer are part of them.
2. What you may do
Use the site, as much as you like, for your own non-commercial enjoyment. Share a result, a screenshot or a link wherever you like. Quote our numbers in an argument, with or without credit, though credit is nice.
3. What you may not do
Copy the roster, the ratings or the engine and republish them as your own, in a product, a dataset or another site. Scrape the site at a rate that hurts it, or try to get into anything you are not meant to see. Use the site, or anything from it, to run a betting product or to sell tips. Present a simulated result as a real one.
4. The results and the ratings
Results are simulated and the ratings are our opinion; the disclaimer spells out what that means. Nothing here is a forecast, a tip or betting advice, and the site offers no gambling of any kind.
5. Your saved games
Careers, promotions and settings are saved in your own browser, not on our servers. Clear your browser data, switch devices or use a private window and they are gone. We cannot recover them and we are not responsible for their loss.
6. What belongs to whom
The engine, the ratings, the writing and the design are ours. Boxers' names, records and likenesses, and the names and marks of sanctioning bodies, promoters and broadcasters, belong to their owners and are used here for identification and commentary only.
7. Advertising and links
The site carries advertising served by third parties and links to other sites. We do not control what they show or what they do with your data, and we are not responsible for it.
8. No promises
The site is offered as it is, and as available. We do not promise that it will always be up, that it is free of errors, or that any rating, record or result is accurate or current. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on anything on it, including a bet placed on a simulated result.
9. Changes
We may change these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Carrying on using the site after a change means you accept it.
