Disclaimer

Four things to know before you take a result from this site anywhere near a bookmaker, a comment section or a real boxer.

It is a game

Every result on The Boxing Sim is produced by a simulation. The engine takes our ratings for two boxers and plays a bout out with a large helping of chance, which is why the same matchup can end three different ways in three runs. A result here is not a prediction of what will happen in a real ring and was never meant to be one. Use it to argue, not to plan.

The ratings are ours

The twelve ratings every boxer carries are an editorial opinion, built from records, opposition, knockout ratios and how a boxer fights. They are not official statistics, they are not endorsed by anyone in the sport, and they are revised whenever we are persuaded we got one wrong. Records and titles are checked against public sources and can still be out of date; if you spot one, tell us.

Not betting advice

Nothing on this site is a tip, a recommendation or a forecast. The win percentages and the "fair prices" shown beside a result are the engine's own numbers, printed so you can see how confident the simulation is; they are not odds and must not be used to place a bet. If you gamble, do it within the law where you live, with money you can afford to lose, and on your own judgement. We accept no liability for any loss that follows a result shown here.

Connected to nobody

The Boxing Sim is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, licensed by or endorsed by the WBC, WBA, IBF or WBO, The Ring, any commission, any promoter, broadcaster, network, gym or boxer. Boxers' names and records are used to identify them and to comment on the sport, in the way a newspaper uses them. All trademarks belong to their owners.

Links and accuracy

We try to keep the roster current and we make no promise that we have succeeded. Pages may link to other sites; what happens there is between you and them.
