What we do not collect
You do not register to use The Boxing Sim, so we never hold your name, email address, date of birth or anything else that identifies you. There is no newsletter and no login. The one way we ever see an email address is if you write to us, and then we use it to write back and for nothing else.
What stays in your browser
Every game saves in your browser's local storage: a career in progress, a stable of clients, the simulator's last settings, and a counter for the daily AI analyses. None of it is sent to us. It stays on your device until you clear it, and it does not follow you to another browser or another device.
The AI analysis
When you ask for an expert analysis of a matchup, the two boxers' names and ratings and the fight conditions are sent through our server to a third-party language model, which writes the analysis. Nothing about you goes with it: no identifier, no cookie, no location beyond what any web request carries. The server keeps a short-lived count per network address so one visitor cannot exhaust the service for everyone, and keeps no record of the matchups.
Advertising
The site carries no advertising. No ad network runs here, and nothing sets an advertising cookie or builds a profile of you. If that ever changes we will say so here first, and name whoever serves them.
Analytics
The site runs Google Analytics 4 (property G-RWD2H55SSS). It records page views, rough location from your IP (which Google truncates), your browser and device type, and how you move between pages, so we can see which games people play and where they give up. It does not see your game saves. Google sets a first-party cookie (_ga) to tell repeat visits apart; it lasts up to two years. You can block it with a content blocker or Google's opt-out add-on.
Server logs
Like every website, the servers that deliver these pages keep ordinary access logs, which include the network address the request came from, the page requested and the browser type. They are used to keep the site running and to find abuse, and they are not combined with anything else.
Children
The site is a general-audience boxing game. It does not knowingly collect anything from anyone, of any age; if a child has written to us, a parent can ask us to delete the message.
Your rights
Because we hold almost nothing, there is almost nothing to request, but the rights exist: if you have written to us you can ask what we hold and ask us to delete it, at [email protected]. For analytics data, use the Google opt-out linked above.
Changes
This notice is dated 22 September 2026. If what the site collects changes, the notice changes with it, and the date will show it.
